Privacy Policy

This policy describes how FomoScan (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information through our website, API, and other online services (the “Services”). Our Chrome extension has its own privacy policy.

FomoScan is an independent product. Referencing or working with a third-party platform does not mean that platform is affiliated with or endorses FomoScan.

Account information. The contact details, identifiers, and settings needed to create and operate your account.

Verification information. A record that you demonstrated ownership or control of an account, address, or identifier, and the information needed to support that record.

Payment information. The information needed to confirm a payment. We do not store full payment credentials such as card or bank account numbers.

Information about other people. Some Services return information about people other than the person using them, drawn from publicly available sources and our own verification.

Usage and device information. How you use the Services, browser and device details, IP address, and pages visited.

Cookies. Our analytics provider sets a cookie containing a random identifier, which may be recognized across our domains. You can block it in your browser, and the Services will keep working.

Information you send us. Support requests and other messages you send us.

• to provide, maintain, and secure the Services;
• to verify identity, ownership, or payment where a Service requires it;
• to respond to support requests;
• to understand usage, fix errors, and improve the Services;
• to protect the Services against fraud and abuse;
• to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

• Service providers that host, store, process payments for, or provide analytics for the Services on our behalf, under obligations to use the information only to provide those services to us.
• Users of our Services, where returning information is the purpose of a Service.
• Legal and safety reasons, where required by law or needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of FomoScan, our users, or others.
• Business transfers, as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services and to meet legal, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations. A record that something was true at a given time may be kept after the underlying status changes.

We transmit information over encrypted connections and limit access to the systems that store it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you, or removal of information describing you from the Services, email fomoscan-support@proton.me. Some information may be kept in anonymized or aggregated form after a deletion request.

Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the UK, and California, you may have additional rights over your personal information, such as access, correction, deletion, and the right to complain to a data protection authority.

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
